These Apple keys actually mapped to the buttons on the joystick which it made it easier to play some games if you just had a keyboard. You got an Apple joystick and it had two buttons on it. What they did is they mapped the joystick button. Now Apple didn't actually add extra keys to the Apple 2 Computer. The solid Apple key and the outline Apple key.
